Who we are
St. Brigid's has fed neighbours in Long Branch since 1997. We started in a church basement and we are still the same thing: people from the neighbourhood feeding people from the neighbourhood.
In 2026 we moved to St. Luke's at 535 Broadway after 28 years in our previous home. The move was sudden; the work did not stop for a single day.
How we work
We believe people know what they need to eat. That is why our pantry works like a shop rather than a pre-packed box — you walk the shelves and choose.
We ask for no ID, no referral and no proof of income, and we do not ask anyone about their immigration status. That is deliberate: dignity and safety are part of the meal.
